Bob Wood
Bob Wood - Chairman of the Board
Bob Wood holds a Bachelor of Education, a BA in Adult Education and an Associate's Degree in Industrial Training. Bob is a C-NRPP Certified Radon Mitigator and Residential Measurement Professional and a Radiation Safety Officer (RSO-1). He spent 30 years in the commercial/industrial sector as a plumber and in other management roles. Bob is a C-NRPP Certified Trainer and provides exam prep courses on-line for both radon placement technicians, and the CRNCH course for the construction industry. Bob also provides public outreach courses about radon to the general public and to builder associations. Bob has also qualified for the National Speakers List on Radon and is a popular speaker at conventions. Mr. Wood owns Mr. Radon® and is a founding member of CARST.

Maureen Wood
Maureen Wood - President of the Board
For eight years Maureen Wood owned Town & Country Home Inspections. During that time she won a Business Entrepreneur of the Year award and decided to introduce radon testing to her services. Before rolling out radon testing she discovered that there were no companies offering to fix the problem if her clients had elevated levels.Starting testing and mitigating in 2006/7 Bob and Maureen Wood incorporated Mr. Radon® in 2008 to provide testing and mitigation services in southern Ontario. Maureen is a C-NRPP Certified Radon Measurement Technician, Radon Mitigation Specialist and Trainer. She is a founding member of CARST (Canadian Association of Radon Scientists and Technologists) and the Director of Operations, CSO and has the Analytic designation at Mr.Radon®.

Maureen is the mother of P. Kyle Wood who was born on her birthday.

Andrew Wood
Andrew Wood - Vice President of the Board
Andrew has been a C-NRPP Certified Radon Measurement Technician, Radon Mitigation Specialist and a member of CARST since 2008. Andrew is also Red Seal Plumber. Andrew works for Mr. Radon® as Residential Lead Mitigator, has a substantial depth of commercial knowledge and experience and is the head of Mr. Radon®’s Innovation Research Dept.

Andrew is the elder brother of P. Kyle Wood.

Alan Whitehead
Alan Whitehead
For over 30 years Alan has served on the executive boards of several private and public sector companies, operating in a diverse range of industries globally.

He is currently President & CEO of Radon Environmental Management Corporation and President of A J VestcoInc, he is also a director of Terra Vent Systems Inc.

Alan is a founding board member and President of the Canadian Association of Radon Scientists and Technologists (CARST) and serves on the US board of Cancer Survivors Against Radon (CanSAR) He is also a founding member of the Coalition of International Radon Associations (COIRA) and is honored and proud to serve as an officer of the Kyle Wood Radon Relief Group.

Through his leadership at Radon Environmental Management Corp and as President of CARST, Alan is dedicated to the prevention of radon-induced lung cancer and is passionate in making change happen.

Rob Mahoney
Rob Mahoney
Rob Mahoney is the sole proprietor of Radon Works. Rob has been doing radon remediation in the Ottawa-Gatineau region since 2007, when he was first asked to participate in a CMHC pilot project. The installation of that system has now become a Health Canada standard for radon remediation.

Rob Mahoney has been in the commercial HVAC design and verification business for over 20 years. He is the Commercial Consultant and IAQ Manager for one of Ottawa’s oldest HVAC companies. Rob graduated from the first gold seal certification course held by the Ottawa chapter of the Mechanical Contractors Association. Rob’s initial foray into radon gas consisted of a sub slab depressurization system installed under direct supervision of Arthur Scott (author of Canadian Guide for Professional Contractors.) Rob is a Founding Member and director of the Canadian Association of Radon Scientists and Technologists (CARST).

Colin Dumais
Colin Dumais
Colin Dumais has a Bachelor of Science in Environment from the University of Calgary, a diploma in Object Oriented Software Technology also from the University of Calgary, and is one of only 20 Canadians to have achieved NABCEP certification for the design of Solar PV systems. He is also C-NRPP certified as a radon measurement and mitigation professional and trainer and is a member and director of CARST.

Colin has worked professionally as a Software Engineer, a Technology Specialist and most recently as an Environmental Policy Specialist where he influences policy at the Provincial and Federal levels. He loves to share his passion for renewable energy and energy efficiency so he has developed relevant educational curriculum and has presented many times on the topic to Universities and Colleges. Leading by example, Colin built a modern, low-energy home that will be powered completely by onsite renewables. Colin continues to use the principals of engineering and technology to design mitigation systems that operate efficiently and economically using enhanced diagnostic methods and procedures.

After finding and mitigating radon in his family’s home, he founded Radon West Ltd. where he works to raise radon awareness and ensure that mitigation systems are designed efficiently and are of the highest quality.

Bruce Decker
Bruce Decker
Mr. Decker has 20 years’ experience in Environmental, Health and Safety and Building Science industries. His designations as a Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T) in civil and environmental engineer, Building Science Specialist Ontario (BSSO) and a Registered Occupational Hygiene Technologist (ROHT) provide him with a multifaceted understanding of how the built environment affects the health of occupants. Bruce has provided specialty consulting services for his entire career for institutional, commercial, industrial, residential and environmental sectors. His expertise and specialization has seen him assist clients across the provinces and territories.

Mr. Decker has extensive Indoor Air Quality experience and practical experience in all aspects of IAQ investigations, radon and soil vapour intrusion studies. He has been involved in all aspects of assessing, reporting, specification preparation, project tendering, contractor oversight and clearance testing for hundreds of construction projects across Ontario.

Mr. Decker has sat on the Environmental Abatement Council of Ontario (EACO) asbestos, mould, vermiculite and radon technical sub-committees and currently sites on the Canadian Standards Association technical sub-committee for Infection control during construction, renovation, and maintenance of health care facilities technical sub-committees. Bruce is very pleased to be part of this worthy cause and help protect health, save lives and honour the memory of an outstanding man.

Chris Yaccato
Chris Yaccato
Chris Yaccato is the Provincial Manager of Government Relations and Public Affairs of The Lung Association of Ontario and has lead and develops all OLA advocacy efforts, including but not limited to: Lung Health Act, 2014 & passage of Ryan’s Law. Mr. Yaccato develops and implements strategies to influence provincial legislative and regulatory initiatives relating to lung health. He works collaboratively to incorporate provincial government affairs and policy activities into strategic business planning. Mr. Yaccato evaluates policy and legislative issues associated with health care industries and meets with authors of legislation and allied interests to discuss impact of targeted legislation. Mr. Yaccato is also very busy lobby respective legislative committee members, MPP’s, Ministers and key decision makers.

In the past Mr. Yaccato was the Executive Assistant to the Ministry of Energy and to the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario. In addition Mr. Yaccato was the Policy Advisor to the Ontario Seniors Secretariat.
